“By no means shall the Organizers be held liable, either directly or indirectly, for any problematic issue that may occur within the framework of the Conference and its organisation, not only with respect to the organisers but also with respect to third parties (airline companies, hotels, transportation, taxis, etc.) while in the performance of duties or services even indirectly related to the Conference.

This contractual liability exemption clause is equally valid in case of an event of force majeure which leads to the disruption and/or the partial or complete cancellation of the Conference programme, for reasons not attributable to Organizers. An event of force majeure is defined as an unforeseen and exceptional event – be it climatic, environmental, political or socio-economic – and does not imply any limitation.

Furthermore, the delegate also expressly agrees to totally absolve the Organizers from any responsibility and liability with regard to travel insurance and related costs or claims. It is solely up to the individual to seek out and purchase or otherwise obtain the necessary insurance with regards to his/her travel, etc. and/or to independently issue a claim against any third party that may be responsible for direct or indirect losses or damages caused to or suffered by the delegate en route to and from the Conference.”

Extra services
1. Visit to the Valencia Aquarium: the Oceanografic (Thursday evening, 3rd of September 2015)
The Oceanografic of the City of Arts and Sciences is the largest aquarium in Europe and contains representatives of the world’s main marine ecosystems. Each building is identified with the following aquatic environments: the Mediterranean, Wetlands, Temperate and Tropical Seas, Oceans, the Antarctic, the Arctic, Islands, and the Red Sea, as well as the Dolphinarium (see link).

During their route through the various installations, visitors can get to know at first hand the behaviour and way of life of over 45,000 individuals of 500 different species: dolphins, belugas, walruses, sea lions, seals, penguins, turtles, sharks, rays, sawfish, jellyfish, starfish, sea urchins, and crustaceans of all kinds of marine fauna, as well as wetland bird species such as those inhabiting the Albufera lagoon and tropical mangrove swamps.

2. Technical visit to the Valencia Aquarium: the Oceanografic (Friday evening, 4th of September 2015) sold out!
The Oceanografic of the City of Arts and Sciences is the largest aquarium in Europe and contains representatives of the world’s main marine ecosystems (see link).

Intended for people that would like to learn about the park from another perspective and learn what’s behind the aquariums and how the facilities function.

The technical visit will take place in two of the technical installations of the Oceanografic. Attendees can visit the wildlife rehabilitation area, where the sea turtles are treated in the aquarium at different stages of recovery. We will also visit the research and fish quarantine departments. In this latest installment you may know, in addition to the installation itself, the protocols for fish just reaching to Oceanografic facilities and for ill resident fish that must be treated and controlled further.

3. Visit a unique Wetland Ecosystem: Albufera lagoon (Saturday morning, 5th September, 2015)

(see link).

Three canals (two natural and a third man-made), connect the lagoon and surrounding wetlands with the sea, and each has its own characteristic flora and fauna. La Albufera is an important stopover point for migratory birds and a nesting area for resident birds. Part of the route will be on small boats. Sunscreen and comfortable clothing are recommended.
